Halloween Eve is almost here!

Halloween eve is almost upon us.  I'm excited that this year it falls on a weekend, giving my friends and family a little extra time to enjoy the holiday.  With the weather starting to cool and the full moon in the evenings, it's really put me in the holiday mood.  Last night as I watched the deer from my window coming to feed in the moonlight I thought how perfect it would be to take a moonlight ride upon my horse, if only I didn't have to work in the morning.  Perhaps the moon will still be bright by the coming weekend and I can have my midnight ride, and maybe scare a few neighbors.

With Halloween almost here, it's hard to believe it's time to start thinking about Christmas and gift giving ideas.  Be sure to check out my website as I have some wonderful handmade items that would make the perfect gift.  Keep checking back as we'll be adding some more additional holiday items very soon.

If you're taking your little ones out Trick or Treating remember to stay safe and enjoy the holiday!

We're back from the State Championships

We had a great time at the State show.  It was so nice to see so many familiar faces and some new ones too. We are especially proud of our model horse, Skyjacker's Untold Secret a/k/a Barney, who took home the blue in the WHOA Open Model and Youth Model Divisions, as well as a reserve in the Adult Model and third in the Grand Championship Model division.  As you can see in this photo, Barney is quite a looker and it's no wonder he's been featured in books, calendars and is a top model horse.  We are especially proud to be in the running of the top 10 model horses in the nation for WHOA and the Walking Horse Report High Point.  Way to go Barney!

We are also proud of Jose on the Bay a/k/a Otis, who took home blue ribbons in the 4 and under Trail Pleasure Walking preliminary and championship divisions.  We expect great things from Otis!

Now it's back to crafting.  We will be at the Fiesta in the Park in Orlando, Florida, on November 6th and 7th.  Be sure to come visit us!

Another wonderful fall offer from the Firecracker Kid

The Firecracker Kid has a wonderful fall give-a-way.  You can find it at: http://firecrackerkid.blogspot.com/.  She's offering a Primitive Peg Box. It's made of pine wood and finished with nutmeg brown acrylic paint and sealed with a dark walnut stain.  She has four ways to enter.  Good luck! (though I hope I win).
Prim hugs, Mary

Ahl Cooped Up is having her first give-a-way

Be sure to run over to http://ahlcoopedup.blogspot.com/ and check out the great snowman she's offering in her give-a-way.  She's also got some great pictures from her recent show.

Hope everyone is enjoying this wonderful October weather as much as I am.  Although I hate the shorter daylight, I enjoy the cooler temps.  I especially enjoy the cool mornings where I can sip my coffee on the back porch and watch the horses in the pasture.
